Market leader DART Helicopter Services were not interested in a patchwork approach to their online communication. They wanted a comprehensive solution that included the relaunch of their website that went hand in hand with a complete revamp of their business-critical webshop – with over 4.700 products from different areas of their business.
In order to meet the demands of presenting such a wide range of different types of products, gestaltungsWerk created a site that allows users to quickly find the product needed. The shop landing page features 4 teaser- boxes that rotate their products automatically, showcasing the areas “New Products”, “Hot Stuff”, “Special Offers” and “Recently Updated”. Product Groups, Specialty Sections and a search function make targeted shopping easy. Several views of every product are available. After registering and approval from DART, users can rate products or use the "Send-to-Friend" function to send them out via email.
The shop offers customers fast and easy shopping, including the option of RFQ ordering. Customers can request for a quote for any of the 4.700 products in the shop.
The new web shop is also a big time saver for the internal processes. Products can be uploaded - with up to 40 attributes each- with the help of an excel-sheet directly into the web shop, which is an enormous time and cost savings for DART.
The shop was briefed, designed, programmed and implemented in only 4 ½ months. It went live as ordered, just in time for one of the largest helicopter trade shows in the world: the HeliExpo 2010 in Houston Texas.
